Super Chunky Fast Baby blanket

I found myself in a hurry to make some Baby Blankets for a donation to a local hospital’s nursery. So I decided to stick with the very common Granny Square pattern. Yet, I made some modifications. Instructions : Very Common and beginner friendly pattern. I added trim that was *Slip Stich to the ch 2 sp from previous round. 5DC in chain 2 space and repeat from *. Pictured Below

Rockskipper Wristers

This FREE Fingerless Gloves Pattern by Sweet Potato Crochet Creations work up super quick! I’m love the style of these gloves! I made one Large and one Medium ( I wasn’t sure which size I would be). Both fit, I prefer the Large, it is a little more loose.  This Writers Pattern is a part of the Rockskipper Collection! I’ve written reviews on the Rockskipper Ear Warmers and Cowl.

Review: This Pattern is very detailed! It has 3 sizes (small/medium/large) and instructions for bot Left and Right hands in each! It also has links to a video tutorial for Foundation Single Crochet!

Crochet Easy Ribbed Scarf

Great Free Beginner Friendly Pattern! This scarf is gorgeous and perfect for a Fall accessory!

Review: Great Pattern, easy to follow and modify! I did make some modifications: first 3 Rows I used the single Crochet stitch, then switched to Half Double Crochet Stitches until the scarf measured 4.5 inches wide then finished with 2rows of Single Crochet Stitches.

Infant Crochet Hoodie

Super Cute Tiny Hoodie is just adorable to look at! 

Review: This free Pattern by Heart Hook Home is very well written and easy to follow! It has every size you could need! I personally skipped the sleeves make a Stylish Vest. I added one row of HDC then one boarder Row on each Sleeve whole. Also for the Trim, I used one row of HDC.

Review: Quick Pattern that uses basic Stitches. The first few rows are a little confusing but when it says “same Stitch” it means same as the Chain.

Granny Triangle Scarf

This Free Pattern by Jamie Louise is a great Go-to for the new Caron Cakes!! This is my first time using cakes and I was unsure at first. Now, I’m in love!! Very cute and stylish scarf!! I feel like every time I turn around I see these amazing triangle scarves! I’m so glad I finally got the chance to try one! I’m sure this will be a great pattern for gifts this holiday season!

*Edit! – I’ve also used this pattern with a chunky yarn and hook! See below!

Review: Pattern is extremely easy to follow and beginner friendly! If you’re familiar with any granny square Pattern, this will be very simple for you! I ended up working until Row 25 then started cutting for the tassels. (I cut 20 strands for each side) then I had a little left over to make one more Row.

Egg-Cellent Apron

Great finished project!!!!! But….. It isn’t quick…. 

I made some modifications to make the Apron work up a little quicker… 

1. I doubled the yarn, using 2 strands of Worsted Weight Yarn at once.

2. For the first panel, I chained 60, I only crocheted 10 rows and cut out the long 3rd row of eggs.

3. For the belt/tie ends, I chained 60 on each side.

Review: Easily to follow and as shown above, easily modified! I think this is a unique item that in the right location could be a best seller. She does provide sizing (measurements) at the end of each section to let you check. I recommend using the measuring tape to stay on track.

Time to Make: 3 hours (with modifications, I’m not sure how long it will take if you follow the Pattern).
